Wedding Ceremonies
A wedding ceremony is a fabulous opportunity for a devoted couple to publicly declare their love and life long commitment to one another with those they care for most; their close family and friends. Each wedding is different; location, style, size, theme etc… but each reflects the couples’ uniqueness both as individuals and as a couple… This is the same for the ceremony which is written exclusively for each individual couple’s wedding day.
Leanne is privileged enough to have celebrated many ceremonies in a range of places including the rainforest, reception venues, wineries, parks, gardens, homes, beach and boats… and has an exceptional ability to understand the needs of her clients and is therefore able to write a ceremony which suits each couple and their special place perfectly.
So where to from here?
1. First contact Leanne and make a time to meet with her...then...
2. Upon booking Leanne as your celebrant she requires a non-refundable booking fee and generally suggests you complete a Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM) form at this time. This then allows you to enjoy the lead up to your ceremony without the stress of the legal requirements hanging overhead. Legally, the NOIM needs to be lodged at least one month and one day before your wedding date and in accordance to the Marriage Act 1961 Leanne will also need to sight original copies of the following documents before the marriage ceremony can proceed:
Birth Certificates (if born in Australia)
Foreign Passport (if born OS)
and
Decree Absolute (if divorced)
Death Certificate (if widowed)
3. The next phase is devoted to writing your dream ceremony… this can take just a few emails or sometimes more– but Leanne does not consider this part of her job done until you are completely happy.
4. Once your ceremony has been finalised Leanne will then schedule a rehearsal. Leanne has found it more productive (and certainly more convenient for the couple) to incorporate other administrative aspects at the rehearsal. For example: signing the statutory declarations, confirming details of how you’d like your ceremony to run and double checking the legal documents. This ensures your wedding day runs smoothly and is everything you dreamed of...
5. Then you are ready for your big day...relax in the knowledge that your ceremony will be perfect and enjoy the lead up and excitement of “making it to the (ceremony) on time…”
The process may seem daunting, but don't worry, Leanne will guide you through all phases of your ceremony; from design to presentation on the day, adhering at all times to the celebrant’s code of practice and exceeding your expectations in professionalism and service.
